Creating safer nightlife across Europe.

Our project Act2Protect aims to prevent and combat all forms of sexual gender-based violence (SGBV) by building safer, more inclusive nightlife, music and festival spaces.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Freedom, connection and safety for everyone.

Festivals and nightlife should be spaces of freedom, connection and inclusion, yet many young people, especially women and LGBTQIA+ individuals, continue to face sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), harassment and discrimination. Limited awareness, prevention measures and support can leave these environments feeling unsafe and unwelcoming.

Act2Protect brings together six organisations from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain and Portugal to create safer, more inclusive nightlife and festival spaces across Europe. Through collaboration, education and awareness-raising, the project works to prevent SGBV by promoting bystander intervention, safer event practices and inclusive policies.
